Since the Fall of 2021, McHugh Engineering sponsored three FIRST Robotics teams. Two of the teams competed in The FIRST LEGO League Challenge and one team competed in the FIRST LEGO League Explore. The theme this year was Cargo Connect.
The teams needed to research the worlds cargo transportation systems and reimagine transportation innovations that better connect and grow communities and economies around the world. It was great to see the teams work together and pitch different ideas for their presentations. Their favorite part was from a team challenge that had them create a robot and program it to accomplish as many tasks as it can on the FIRST Robotics game board within 2.5 minutes.
We would like to thank the Philadelphia Chapter of ASHRAE who has been sponsoring the teams over the past couple of years and helped purchased the LEGO Mindstorm kits the teams use today.
